Question about 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
Initailly I was able to get it to engage by turning the steering wheel off center to the right (needed a long, fairly sharp turn to do this(.
Now it doesn't engage at all.
Any idea what the probelm may be?
Sounds to me you have a break in one of the cruise control wires either in the collum or on the control stick. If the cruise control is mounted in the steering wheel, then it is deffential in the collum. I STRONGLY suggest not to drive the car until you fix this. I had simular problem in a car I had, one time as I turned, the broken wire shorted over and the cruise accelurator kicked in and nearly caused a crash.
