Question about 2001 Porsche Boxster
Porsche Boxster Tiptronic 2700cc, registered 2000.
Had to have driver's door window replaced so airbag in that door had to be disconnected for work to be carried out. Window replaced, airbag re-connected but airbag light stayed on ever since. Auto-electrician tested but his machine saying all ok when obviously is not as light staying on. He got me to disconnect battery for 24 hours then came back re-tested but machine still reading as no faults even though airbag light is on permanently. Any suggestions welcome. Have not tried Porsche dealer as worried what they will charge me.

SOURCE: Porsche 1990 944S2 Airbag Reset
When you put in airbags, you need to put new airbag sensors as well. If you leave the old sensors in, your airbags MIGHT deploy again. When you change both airbags and both sensors, the system resets itself. I have done this operation before.

SOURCE: airbag light on
unhook the battery for about ten minutes ... that should reset it tho the sensor may have been damaged (lucky it didn't go off). if your radio is of the anti-theft variety... make sure you know the code BEFORE you unhook the battery. if the light does not go off and you live in the states... stop at your local autozone.. they will scan the codes for free.
