It sounds like your transmitter on your remote is not functioning. You may just need to replace the battery in your remote! Some times unlocking the doors w/your keys will disarms the alarm system. Thats why i had to do when i lost my remote. See if that helps!

Our 1999 Town & Country would not start at all, not even a click. prior to that would start then die or alarm would turn on and stay on. An hour later unlocking and locking the back gate with the key disable the alarm just by pure luck. Just happened minutes ago. We did try many things over 2 days. Hope it works for all. How do I disarm the alarm system on my 1998 volkswagen? It wont start ,cranks but wont run..I changed the plugs still wont start, someone said could be in the alarm system to disarm it.

The alarm would cause the car not to crank, and the alarm horn would sound. You can try unlocking the car from the trunk lock to disarm the alarm. But crank and no start could be a bad ignition switch. Do the dashboard lights stay on or go out while the key is in the crank position? They should remain "on". Worn ignition switch could cause the car to crank but not start.

How to i disconnect my alarm on my ivico daily as i lost my keys with a separate fob with the buttons on it and as i don't have the fob can't get the van to start

Mostly it can't be done. These days most keys contain a coded transponder but they used to be fitted in the fob.

The immobiliser/alarm will not disarm unless the transponder is physically close to the ignition switch. Mostly there is no way to bypass the system as the codes are embedded into the engine management system. The engine management ecu can be decoded and that might work or a new fob can be obtained and the system re-coded.

Those are really the only options available.

2001 dodge caravan alarm will not shut off

You probably need to disarm the system, try locking and unlocking the drivers door with the key if you don't have the remote.

Our headlights and tail lights are stuck on and van will not start, we were changing the stereo and the alarm beeped like it was unlocking. what could be wrong with it

Are your headlights and tail lights hooked into your alarm system (the flash when arming and disarming). You may have used a wire that was part of the alarm system. Does your alarm system kill the ignition so the van cannot be started? Could have done something to destroy the alarm system.
Might want to start by going backwards. Take the stereo out and putting any wiring back to the way it was before until things go back to normal. If that does not work then take the alarm out and repair any wires that have been cut and spliced for it.

Security system is locked out, will not let use start van

If the headlights are flashing, the alarm system is factory installed. Inserting the key into the driver door lock and turning to the left then back to the right is supposed to disarm it. If the parking lights are blinking,, the alarm is an aftermarket add on, and there should be a disarm button under the dash on the driver side. If it' an aftermarket alarm, you should be able to have it removed. There is a way to bypass the factory alarm. There is a wiring harness in the driver's door. You will have to remove the door panel to find it. The wire is dark green and purple. Splice into that wire and ground it to the chassis and the alarm should no longer work.

Van won't start after thunderstorm set off viper alarm system

Not saying this is your solution. I would do the simple thing first. Disconnect the battery for 5 to 10 minutes and see if it allows the alarm to reset. If not call your local car alarm installer. Maybe Best Buy. These companies will more than likely help you out
