93Kmiles, 5,7L, mojor tune up w/ ACdelco parts to include coil & fuel filter. Cold won"t start. Spay carb cleaner into intake and it lights off and starts better as injector cleaner works through. No MIL, runs great. ????

Probably fuel pressure issue. Check for leaks, dirty filter, low fuel pressure could indicate bad fuel pump. Normally, a float would cause flooding, but a clogged jet could cause a lean / no start issue. Try some gumout fuel cleaner and a gumout spray clean of the carb and linkages before you get to far into a part issue.

Is the vehicle diesel? If so you have a heater plug problem, or low compression, compressed air in the cylinder is not hot enough to cause ignition of the diesel in a cold start situation. Carb cleaner is more volatile than diesel and explodes easier, so the vehicle starts. Heat retained by the engine allows it to start, then when it has gone completely cold, you have the same problem, Check operation of the glow plugs and the engine compression (worn engine)

Needs a tune up! Try some new plugs and wires, new air filter and fuel filter. Is it the 2.2 litre?

have you replaced your fuel filter, important ! also replace air filter. a tune-up is necessary, spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap & rotor !

without actually hooking up a scan tool and looking at the pid data i would say you have either a coolant temp sensor issue or intake air temp sensor issue.i have seen alot more coolant temp sensors bad than the intake air temp sensors tho.

replace the IAC, idle air control valve at throttle body. replace fuel fiter, put drygas in tank, todays fuel w/ethenol is bad news for older vehicles.

did you change the fuel filter? make sure all plug wires are on the right plug If the coil wire was crapped out the other wires may me too. look at the inside of the cap srpray some wd 40 in it and wipe it out good make sure top of rotor is clean too

To correct this problem I want you to get a can of intake cleaner (ABOUT $5.00) from any local auto parts store like NAPA or Carquest, do not use carburetor spray, intake cleaner only or u will damage the Teflon coating inside the throttle valve and air bypass valve, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

does it run rough after warm up??or cold too,,u mite have a vacuum leak,,,take some injection cleaner spay,,carb or brake cleaner spray,,seen many different spays used,,,but spay around air intake,,around base,,see if engine will stumble,,also seen temp censer problems,,where its tell the ecu that the motors cold,so it rich-ens the fuel,,injector,,hoped it helped,,
