It is stalling at idle.. Replace the fuel pump and air finlter.. Be sure the oil level is good..

If it has not had a tune up for a long time - it would be a good idea as well..

How do I keep my cz550 running for longer than 3 minutes before cutting off

if this a diesel engine with a controlled shut down after turning the key off, there is no need to extend the idle period as 3 minutes is ample time to allow the turbo to slow down and cool down
understanding how a turbo works is the key to the answer as the turbo is already cooling down and slowing down as you are coming to a stop and the extra 3 minutes is a safety period to complete that process
If you are concerned about a turbo failing then there is an accumulator that can be purchased after market that is fitted to the oil circuit of the turbo
It has a bladder in a case and oil pressure pressurizes that bladder so that when the engine is stopped , that oil is pushed back through the turbo bearings It can be fitted to any turbo engines
it is particularly useful for engines that are subject to stall conditions such as 4wd that are operating in conditions where clutch operations causes the engine to stall
however to answer your question , there may be a small adjustment in the side of the timer box or in the box that can be reset to longer time
however long idling of an engine is not good for the wear factor of the engine

Hi I have a 2002 Corolla with an apexi, when driving it can start to splutter a bit and I have to put my accelerator down fully just to maintain the revs, then as the car slows I have to change down a gear...

Most common problem is the IAC(Idle Air Control) valve. But if you say some times work I will suspect the throttle is clogged. Remove the Air hose, apply full throttle and hold, spray carburetor cleaner on clot using thin long nose player clean inside wall and throttle. don't spray directly inside because the carb cleaner is to aggressive for some of the gasket.
Good Luck

Car stalls out when you push in the clutch

When you push in the clutch you are pushing the crank shaft forward in the main bearings but the action of the throw out bearing for the clutch pushing the fingers of the clutch pressure forward. For the engine to stall under this condition I would be checking the throw out bearing for seizure and acting as a brake on the pressure plate. Some clutch systems are part of the engine start system where you have to depress the clutch to start the engine (safety device) This may be faulty and shutting the engine down.

Hi, I recently been have a problem with my 1998 Honda, passport. While driving my Honda it would shut down then starts again on its own while rolling. At times it would not start again on its own you need...

sure, rolling in gear you mean. (same effect as push starting a car with M/T) what speed did it restart, 5mph or 50 or 85mph.?)
what transmission. A/T or M/T? BEG ERROR there !

shut down,?
you mean stalls,
and engine can do 3 things
run too slow (way below 800RPM idle , illegal idle speeds)
stalls (rpm goes to zero or you find zero power from the engine )
if you stop the car, and the engine stalls that is an engine stall.

or run perfectly.

does your model have a tachometer to you can see RPM?
and if idle controls work,
not posting the trans type, (non body does here) makes answers near impossible. infact most will just ignore you posts.

with a M?T car the engine immediately returns (hot ) to 800rpm
and is regulated very closely by the EFI brain (PCM)
if not you are seeing IDLE control failure.
with and A/T there is no MT clutch and when you stop
the autoclutch drags (wastes fuel like mad) and puts a huge load
on the engine, stopped say at a red light. the idle controls
on A/t are greatly taxed here.
so RPM can drop real low. fail. or stall. below 800
a stall happens at about 400 RPM.
the M/T can at any time be restarted on the fly (moving)
but just dumping the clutch. or just waiting as you coast in gear.
this is how push starting any M/T car works.
but on an A/T car , on the fly restarts take huge speeds.
and only works on A/T that have 2 oil pumps.
the A/T with no rear pump , the A/T can not be push starter
or coast restarted, if the front pump is dead(engine stalled)
im not looking up your tranny spec. because you never stated, it.

my engine stalls. (not tranny slip)
1: bad 12vdc power to any EFI system component.
2: never ever tuned up per the free operators guide in glove box.
3: lost engine compression. 1 or all cylinders.
4: lost spark. (or timed wrong, early cars have distributors)
5: bad fueling. too much or too little

when the engine runs , does the MIL, CEL glow running
btw the CEL also glows, at all stalls. the lamp only means.
I HAVE ELECT power, now.... only.

When i push the clutch down the prm's stays at 2000 for about 5 sec

If the truck is running fine otherwise I would not change a thing. The engine needs time to step down in case you decide to re-engage the clutch. If it slowed right away the engine could stall.

Toyota carina injection 1993 2000cc auto cuts out as soon as I

Does the vehicle restart and die when you put it in gear. If answer is yes then you need a torque converter clutch solenoid (TCC) or a brake light switch. The brake light switch cancels the TCC at a slow down or stop.. If it doesn't cancel it you will stall out. If your vehicle restarts and dies once you put it in gear then its the TCC. If none of these symptons fit your vehicle get back to me .
