I need to remove the head in a 93 Chevy Cavalier. It is a 2.2. Please help. First timer

You will need to get a chilton guid book it will have a indepth description and it will give you the sequence for the head bolts. They have to be tightened in order or you can ruin the head!

located on the rear(firewall) of the engine below the exhaust manifold usually between the front 2 cylinders. it has a single wire attached to it and is about 1.5/2 inches in diameter.

Still can't find crank position sensor on 93 Chevy

No it's undr the inghtion modiule thats under the coil paks. After the coils and the module are removed and the bracket that the module was on it's under it. Or right next to it.

I need the torque sequence for a 1998 chevy cavalier head

There's two engine's, your car could have, 2.2L or 2.4L. so here's both, cylinder head torque for 2.4L engine.
Step # 1
Bolt's 1 - 8 40 Ft.Lbs
Bolt's 9 - 10 30 Ft.Lbs

Step # 2
All bolt's additional 90deg.

No spark

you may have to get the new engine harners wires and pcm form the 94 model, that will sove your problem

Im not sure of the correct firing order for a 93 chevy cavalier 2.2 litre and how are the spark plugs numbered from left to right 1-2-3-4 and how are the distributor posts numbered from top to bottom...

For the 1993 Chevy Cavalier 2.2L:

Water leaking from a freeze plug and water in the oil pan in a 283 small block chevy engine

If you have a bad or leaky freeze plug, also known as soft plugs, it needs to be replaced. Your brass plugs are the best, and in some hard to get to places there are rubber plugs that can be adjusted to fix the problem. But if you have oil in the oil pan, assuming no one put water in the engine. You probably overheated the engine enough to acquire a cracked head gasket. Normaly that's the problem, could be a cracked head also, but more than likely a gasket. If you decide to remove the heads and replace the gaskets, good idea to have the heads resurfaced. (recommended)
