Either a bad trans pump or a bad power steering pump turn the steering wheel and see if it gets louder

SOURCE: power stering makes a wining noise in the morning

Hi,

Initially, your described concern could be the belt. It may already be loose requiring tightening/adjustment or perhaps even replacement. In some instances, it could also indicate that the power steering pump is having difficulty turning the wheels for some reason, say tire pressure in front too low.

Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

It sounds like your transmission is either not shifting down to first gear, or the lock up in the converter is not releasing.

2000 ford f150 makes a wining sound even after truck is turned off. to stop noise you have to take off one of the battery cables.

if you use your nose, you can smell where the problem is coming from. Just start sniffing, and locate the general winey smelling area. If it is a smaller part wining, you may need to taste the part along with some cheese and crackers to verify the wine. Once you have identified the suspect component, either start swapping parts and smell and taste the wine again or take the vehicle to a mechanic for a proper diagnosis and repair. Either way, you will eventually find the problem.

My ac condensation is leaking in front passenger floor board, how do i stop that? 2001 mazda mpv

Dirt or leaves in the evaporator & drain area
of the a/c system ducting

Have to find & clear the drain, either from under the vehicle
or taking it apart under the dash, I would guess

Wining sound when starting but when engine warms up it stops

This has so many variables...is the serpentine belt the original? It can be hardened with age, quiets when warmed up...could be tensioner pulley, this noise could come and go however...also is your weather very cold? If equipped with an automatic transmission, the age can exhibit unique cold sounds...if tranny never serviced, add a bottle of Lucas Oil Transmission Stabilizer to tranny fluid...read instructions, you do not have to drain anything...This is highly recommended for cleaning tranny. Hope this helps.

The only thing that would cause this is a faulty power steering pump. Any shop can listen and confirm this.
