Well I looked under the hood and there is no visual kinks or leaks or anything in the hoses, and the fluid has been refilled.... I'm really at a loss as to what could be wrong. Could the pump have just gone out?

Your insurance company should take care of the repairs or his whomever was at fault either way either the power steering casing is broken causing a leak or a break in the line itself or the belt snapped open the hood and visually look and see what is leaking or the tire could even be rubbing at times without seeing it i cannot say for sure ....but let me know what you discover

the rack and pinion may be at fault causing your isue as a result from the damage sustained ... i would suggestt allowing a garage to determine this maby even for free for determining future repairs with them

How do i change the power steering pressure switch on my 04 dodge ram 1500 hemi? I can't find it.

From the Factory Service Manual, you can get one relatively cheap from www.promanuals.net. Here is a link to your 2004 Dodge Ram Service Manual.

The power steering pressure switch is installed in
the power steering high-pressure hose (Fig. 9).

(1) Disconnect electrical connector from power
steering pressure switch.
(2) Place a small container or shop towel beneath
switch to collect any excess fluid.
(3) Remove switch. Use back-up wrench on power
steering line to prevent line bending.
