Go to your locall library in there reference section they have "Michell" shop manuals. In the book for your vehicle it will show you the exact vacume diagram. I also had to do this for my 84 Datsun 300ZX.. they have the info there.

IF this is a case that the IWEs will not disengage, it could be the IWE solenoid or the vacuum lines to the IWEs. Could also be a problem with the vent lines from the IWE ( the other vacuum line that runs up into the engine compartment, and just hangs there ).

This is the block diagram of the vacuum lines for the IWE ( not actual routing ). You can use a vacuum pump / gauge to see if the lines will hold vacuum. Don't be surprised if the vacuum lines test OK, there is a TSB on the IWE solenoid where it could ingest water, and allow water in the lines, which will not keep the IWE gears disengaged.

Well,of course you can see the diagrams. But there's two pages worth and Fix ya will only let me post 1.Maybe I can post twice off this link?I'll have to give it a shot, usually you can only answer a post once unless there's a reply like you've done.
Also, yes there are people who charge for the info.I'm not being paid to help,I merely help because a like to.Here's the first page,if your vehicle isn't here, reply back and I'll send the second.Have a good one!c7e7b71.jpg

there maybe a sticker in the engine compartment that shows the vacume line routing or you can go to a dealer and they can print one for you.

Vacume leak under dash. Sounds like door opening

You got it right, there is a 'door' that opens and closes under the dash to change cooled or heated air flow to the interior vents. A vacuum line either disconnected, or is leaking somewhere, and is most likely responsible for the lack of a/c. You are going have to hunt around to try and find where the leaking/disconnected line is to repair it. It's not going to be a fun job. You can access diagrams and info on your car (for a fee) at alldatadiy. Look under HVAC system to see the info you need. Good luck.
