If it has a distributor, it's taped on the right side of the engine in/around the large wire loom that crosses to the right fender.. I have seen the connector melted on the exhaust manifold before. If it had DIS, it's on the left side of the engine, near the DIS module.

Where is the spout connector located when trying to check the timing on a 1995 ford explorer ?

The spout is located in the front left (drivers) side of the engine compartment. Below is a picture of it's location (marked with a red arrow). Also below is a picture of the spout connector itself. Your timing is not adjustable but per specs, with the shorting bar removed on the connector you should be running at 10 degrees before top dead center (BTDC) Hope this helps.....

Cant find radiator drain plug

  1. Open the hood.
  2. Look for the fill spout.
  3. From the fill spout go strait down the back of the radiator.
  4. The drain spout is right there on the backside of the radiator towards the bottom (see pic).
  5. Turn with a pair of Vice Grips or stick a little screwdriver in the hole in the center of drain tab.

What is an incline spout connection. Its supposed to have something to do with the timing on a 1989 ford Ranger xlt ,2.8 dual 4 Cycinder extended cab

The "Inline Spout Connector" is used to control the engine timing by dis-connecting the timing control from the timing control unit, and you must remove the inline spout connector before you can change or set the ignition timing, and if the inline spout connector is missing, then the engine timing will not be controlled by the dura-spark control unit, the check engine light should be on, and the engine will perform poorly. Usually it is located out by the distributor or over by the dura spark control unit.

It is normally a small squared looking grey plastic thing that should be in the end of a wire connector, and that is the only thing that will on the end of that wire connector, and it is basically just a jumper plug. Here is a similar image of what you should be looking for.

Need help on location of part

If you trace the radiator hose to the engine block it will connect to a fitting/housing which loooks someting like a half-tennis ball with a spout on it. The thermostat is in this housing.
