Question about 1995 Honda Civic

1 Answer

95 honda civic keeps turning off.

My car will just turn off while on the road. After about 20 tries or so, it will turn back on. Sometimes it will run for a good amount of time, sometimes it will keep turning off frequently. After stalling, using the turn signals does not work either. What could be the cause?

Sounds like your battery is not holding a charge or your alternator is not doing its job like its supposed to do and keep and provide all essenstial electrical components with adequate power good luck

You need to check the connections between the battery and the car. Check both the positive and negative ends where they meet the car and attach to the battery.

Don't know if yours is one but some 95 Honda civic have a antitheft program. If the battery ever goes dead or voltage is removed from it, it will not work until a program code is given to bring the radio back to life. you might want to try searching 95 Honda civic radio code.

98 honda civic speedometer not working. it will jump around and then settle at 20.

It's a common problem with the civic's, the speedo is bad, you can try findind one in the bone yard but it may be bad to, the dealer is expensive, In my 95 civic I turn on my tom tom and it has the speed on it, all the other gauges work fine, the odometer will work fine, just the speedo.

My 95 honda civic coupe died on me then when i

put a nother battery in it. start the car. then be quick and while the car is running. remove the +(posotive) wire from the battery. if the car stays running you have a bad battery. if the car dies instantly, you need a new alternator.

95 civic wont start

An engine needs 3 things to run: Fuel, compression, ignition.

Maybe the timing belt went out. Take off the dist cap and see if the rotor turns as you crank the engine.

Next run a compression test on all the cylinders.
