I think they are on the wiper arms. If not there, on the cowl vent.

The windshield washer fluid comes out on the right hand corner of my dash inside when i hit the washer fluid

Try to trace fluid line back from outside nozzle or reservoir to find broken or disconnected black tubing. Good idea to have someone activate fluid while looking (wear safety glasses).

Windshield washer fluid not spraying

Sounds to me part of the tubing is frozen shut from the pump to nozzle, nozzle may be clogged as well. The pump motor might run, but pump on the end faulty. Remove tubing from pump and see if it squirts out, if so replace tubing to pump and remove tubing from nozzle on hood or wiper, check to see if it squirts from there. IF it does then your nozzle is clogged with wax or ice.

Windshield washer fluid only working on passenger side

nozzle stopped up with wax, or tubing is stopped up, pump motor may be running, but pump isn't. Check for pressure at the pumps. Tubing sometimes comes off or has cracks that let washer fluid escape. Its sounds like a search till you find it type thing. Can't be too much, either a blown fuse, faulty pump/motor, or faulty tubing/clogged nozzle

1999 cadillac seville washer fluid wont come out

If it makes a humming noise but nothing comes out, look for a broken fluid line or a clog in the line near the motor. If it doesn't make any kind of humming noise, then it's likely the washer motor is no good. you can replace the motor fairly easily as long as you can get the washer container out of the car. The motor is attached to the container and is usually held in by a couple of screws or clips. First thing to check though would be the nozzles themselves on the hood. Use a needle and poke the holes in the nozzles and see if anything comes out. Sometimes they get clogged up and nothing happens.

The windshield washer pump not working, where is the pump located for me to replace it?

The pump motor is located in the washer fluid reservoir. It simply pushes into a rubber grommet in the lower end of the reservoir. It looks like the picture below.

How do you fix low pressure on windshield washer fluid sprayer.

Its just plugged up, probably right at the nozzle it's a pretty tiny hole. To clear it out you need to find a small diameter wire that will fit inside the hole to clear the blockage. Something like a small gauge sewing needle or a straight pin. It can also get plugged up in the rubber tubing. Usually you can just blow through it with lung power. Just pull the tube off at the nozzle and run the washer this will tell you if it's the nozzle or the tubing.

How to trouble shoot a broken windshield washer system

Activate the washer fluid switch and listen to see if you can hear the pump making noise. If you can, the try disconnecting the washer fluid hoses and blowing through them to see if they are clogged. If they dont here are some steps to diagnose a faulty pump.

Fist find the washer pump, should be located at the bottom of the fluid bottle.
Second disconnect the harness from the pump, and hook a test light to both terminals.
Third have someone operate the switch for the pump and look to see if the light comes on.
If the light does come on then the pump is most likely burnt out. Replace the pump and you should be good to go.
If you don't have power trace the ground wire and make sure it is connected, then check your fuses and make sure none are blown.

Windshiels washer worked yesterday but not to

Check for airlock on pump input (if pump not mounted below water tank level),
check water delivery at pump outup port is ok,
check for kinked/crushed delivery hose,
check for blocked squirter nozzles.

Windshield washer line came undone i cant find wher to hook it back up

The washer fluid pump is going to be mounted on the firewall it will have places for 3 tubes one intake and two going out to the spray nozzles the spray nozzles are either fixed pointing up at the windshield or if they are on the wiper itself there will be a place at the base of the wiper to connect the hose

03 windstar/washer fluid

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, your concern could be caused by:
  • clogged hose/tubing from washer pump to nozzle;
  • clogged nozzle;
  • faulty spray pump (inside the washer bottle);
  • faulty switch;
  • faulty connector/wiring.
In most cases, it would be clogged nozzle or blocked hose/tubing.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.
