2003 intrepid overheating. Please help

2003 intrepid was oveheating. Mechanic changed waterpump twice, thermostat twice. Radiator is working. Head gasket test came back negative. But it was the only thing left to do so he changed that still no good. He says there is nothing else he can do. He says its got to be something deep inside the motor???? Does this make sense. If so how much does a new or used motor go foe? Is it worth it. The car just got a new paint job. Perfect black leather interior.

I've had my car overheating for some time now. I've had 2 mechanic confirm it's not the thermostat, but they didn't go any further. They said when car over heated and when I filled with water the line...

If your malibu has the 3400 engine in it, it could very easily be the lower intake manifold gasket leaking. If there is exhause bubbling out of the coolant reservoir, it could be a head gasket leaking. Both are expensive jobs, so my advise would be to find a competent mechanic to figure out which one it is for sure before having anything done.

My Dodge Interpid, 1997 model is always overheating. I've been change the waterpump, the fan motor and the radiator as well but the problem is still unsolved.....

you could have a head gasket problem, pull the sparkplugs and check their color any light color like tan on the plugs indicate coolant getting into the combustion , then do a coolant pressure test, it should hold pressure, also make sure the antifreeze is good, water alone will just boil

2003 intrepid over heating

make sure that the system has been bled of all the air to do this there should be a little bleeder screw near the thermostat housing open this up until water comes out start the car and turn the heater on high watch for any air bubbles to come out of the bleeder until it is straight fluid coming out see if this fixes it, also check the radiator cap this could cause overheating too, if this is all fine check the fan switches to make sure they come on at right temperature.

Oveheating problem on a 2002 dodge inrepid how do yo fix it?

Low coolant?
Cooling fan not working?
Radiator plugged or air flow restricted?
Defective thermostat?
System air bound?
Water pump not circulating coolant?
Defective radiator cap?

Occasional overheating, if not related to low fluid or other problems, is usually caused by a sticking thermostat.

Thanks Good Luck
