Try using a crows foot wrench or a flare nut sometime you just have to get very creative and invent a tool such a bending a wrench to fit your needs or cutting a socket. whatever get's the job done

How do i remove the power steering pully and pump for a 92 olds cutlass s?

As far as the pulley, If you get a new pump from a national brand auto store, the new pump may not have a pulley, the store will remove the pulley and install on new pump for you. To remove the pump, take belt off. Remove lines from pump, The return line should be low pressure, probably just hose clamp needs to be loosened. The high pressure line is a threaded fitting, have to use wrench to get it loose. If your going to work on your own vehicles, you need a basic set of tools, as far as wrenches and sockets, standard and metric sizes.
Find mounting bolts for pump, take them loose.

Power steering

You may have to be under the car to trace the line. It will run from the PS pump down behind the engine to where it connects to the rack and pinion steering gear. The rack and pinion is on a subframe piece below and behind the engine. The 2 PS lines connect on the driver's side of the rack and pinion, if like nearly all GM cars.

The pressure line can be disconnected from the pump (suction out the fluid first or it will leak all over), up at top, and then disconnect it at the rack and pinion. If this fitting on the rack is hard to reach, you may need a crows foot wrench to loosen it and remove-I'm not sure about aleros. After disconnecting it top and bottom, check for any brackets that hold the two lines together, and for a bracket that may hold the lines secure on the backside of the engine.

Handbrake adjustment please

The high pressure hose I replaced takes a 11/16 flare wrench and it is a royal pain to get to had to pull the shroud off the radiator . The other end I had to remove a small line with a half in wrench and use the 11/16 flare wrench to remove it off the rack. There also was a clamp in the middle to hold it against the engine . I replaced my rack earlier but the o rings inside the compression style fittings degraded and would not allow the fitting on the rack end to seat. I tried all kinds of McGyver style fixes and ended up just replacing the high pressure hose with new o rings pre installed . Cost 38 bucks time priceless. It took 2 hours Jacking up removing the fan shroud and replacing the hose and reinstalling everything .It was worth it though I saved 200 bucks.

Rack and pinion steering lines on 98 ford explorer pressure line and return line witch one on top

the return line is only held on by clamps at both ends or one end at the rack assembly, even though the fitting it connects to may have a nut fitting that threads into the rack.the pressure line always has fittings at both ends that can only be fastened onto the pump and rack by a wrench(or line tool).

How do you replace the transmission cooler on my 89 oldsmobile cutlass supream

Your trans cooler is located inside one of the radiator tanks and would be expensive to replace.
You can either replace the radiator with new or used or cut the lines and install an external cooler as is used for towing. If the cooler in the radiator is leaking, you need to flush the system to remove as much oil as possible or it will cause hoses to soften and fail. Also wise to change trans fluid as well.
Always use double clamps when running rubber lines for cooler so they don't slide apart under pressure.

Need to replace powersteering pump can it be done in the driveway or do I need a mechanic

it requires special tools, u may be able to borrow them from Kragen, the tool is called a power steering pulley remover/installed, u should also have special line wrenches or u will damage the fittings of the high pressure line, except for that the pump is fairly easy, but the pulley must be removed to access the bolts that hold the pump to the block brackets.

What wrench or crows foot and extensions do I use to remove the high pressure power steering hose attached to the rack and pinion? 1994 Buick Regal 3100cc engine

Wherever you can, you should use a tubing wrench, whether it is a crow's foot tubing wrench, or just a normal style wrench with a tubing wrench end.

Those fittings are tight, an you have no options left if you damage the fitting.

As far as what to use, it is always a game of Legos as you try to gain sufficient access with enough oomph to do the job. Use open en wrenches to find what the size is, then use what you learn from that to get the same sized tubing wrench.

If you are removing the hose, and you do not intend to use it again, it can really make things easier to cut the metal line close, then use a socket...

Power steering high pressure hose needs to be replaced on my 1991 oldsmobile cutlass supreme, 3.1L engine. However, I am unable to find repair guide.

The end going to power steering pump is easily accessible, however the end connected to the steering system is not as accessible. You will need an 18mm crows foot wrench and a long extension. Or since the line is being replaced anyway, cut the metal part of the hose as close to the nut that screws into the steering as possible so that you can use a deep-well socket on a two foot extension with a swivel. The steering mechanism is located approximately below your break booster and the high pressure line is the one closest to the fire wall.
