Acura Integra radio will not accept the code

I had a new battery installed in my 2000 Acura Integra. It will not take the code. I have taken out the back up fuse and tried again. It will not accept the code thet the dealer gave me when I bought the car. Now they are asking $125.00 just to look at it. Of course I refused this blatent rip off. Any body had a similar experience?

I had the same problem, I paid a professional to take out the radio and the correct serial number was found in its frame. Acura dealer gave me the correct code. So it turned out when I bought the car and I added a tape deck in 2000 they forgot to give me a new code then. A mistake that cost me time and money:(

First of all, is the radio in the car stock or aftermarket. only the factory radio will accept the codes with no problem. I'm not sure how that works with aftermarket radios though.

I having a very hard time finding my radio code to my 1992 Acura Integra? can you help me?

You will probably have to contact a Honda/Acura dealership with proof you own your vehicle and the vehicel VIN number (found on the metal plate on the drivers side of the dash). It is a security mechanism on honda/acura vehicles that anytime the radio is removed from power (i.e. battery failure/replacement) it need that code to unlock it. Write it down as you will need it anytime you replace your battery.

I have a 2000 acura intrega and the batt. went dead last night now the radio wont work its asking me for the code. what is the code?

I assume you are not original owner. If you have owners manual look in there see if code in there. This is like this so someone can;t steal your radio and use it in another car.

Radio Code for 2000 Acura Integra

You need to get the serial number off the sticker attached to the radio. It will require pulling apart your dash. Call an Acura dealership with that serial number and they should be able to provide you the code. Or you can take it directly to the dealer but you will be charged labor.

I need the code radio for acura integra ls 1997

.If you do not have radio code you can most of the time find the code card tucked away in the owners manual pouch.(looks like a bussiness card)If you are unable to find card you would have to pull radio from dash and retrive stereo serial number, which is on bottom side of radio.once you have s/n you can take s/n to any acura dealership(has to be a dealer)and they can get radio code for that stereo through Honda Corp.once you have correct radio code you will need to first unplug radio,or disconnect battery to reset radio memory, then type in radio code.again if entered incorrectly 3x ,radio would need to be reset again too clear error codes.good luck!
