Question about 1999 Lexus SC
Replace the O2 Sensors and PCV Valve, Make sure the check engine light turns on and then off and then stays off (visual failure if it stays on during a smog check) Make sure the tires are inflated at the correct pressure. Add a bottle of "Guaranteed to Pass" into the fuel tank and also warm the motor up before taking a smog check. Look at all the rubber hoses in the engne area and flex them to see if they are cracked or worn out. Also check to see if any rubber hose is very hard (heat damaged) You can get replacement fuel and vaccuum hose at Pep Boys in all sizes purchased by the foot. Check to see that no fuel is leaking from the fuel filter after you install a new one.
