Yes that's normal. it should go off as soon as you open the door though. if it doesn't then they will go off when timer expires (normally about 90 seconds) after you leave the car.

Instead of spending money on parts, you should get a book and troubleshoot the circuit. It could be the pickup or the module in the distributor, or other electronic components.

I'm looking for the interior light relay location in a 1999 GMC Yukon SLT. Where is it?


There is no relay,only an interior control module located in the center of the dashboard,sorry. Thanks Ray if you need more help get back to me.

Distributer cap firing order


For the 1997 GMC Yukon 5.7L V8:
2WD and 4WD are the same.
