Question about 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

1 Answer

My son is away at school 3 hours away. He is at his job an hour away from school. He says the remote will not unlock the door, but the light ligths up on the remote like it is working. When he uses the key the alarm goes off, but he can not start the car. Is there a way to deal with it? IS there an override?

do you have remote keyless entry? if you do use the remote to unlock it if not use the original key to unlock the drivers door that should take it out of theft mode.

Hi, I have 328XI Station Wagon (2007) and all of sudden I can't unlock its doors with remote nor with the unlock button (none of them). I had to use the key (that's hidden in the remote) to open the driver...

Do you keep the key in your pocket quite a bit? Most BMW's need the key to be recharged in the ignition console for a few hours every week or so. The battery will die if you don't charge it for about an hour or two once a week.

Check Fuse 10 in the "Power distribution center". It is conntected to Fuse Block to Fuses 1,2 and 3. Fuse 1 and 2 is connected to Head lights switch. Fuse 3 is for Remote keyless entry module. This circuit is something happend. The remte control key is not responding with the car

Hi abdumi0f,

Firstly, open your glove box and make sure Valet Mode is not enabled, if it is not, follow these steps.

Step 1: Open drivers door and leave open.
Step 2: Lock and unlock the driver’s door using the power door lock switch on the door.
Step 3: Insert key into the ignition.
Step 4: Turn key to on position and return to off position. (IMPORTANT - use ON position NOT ACC position). Do this 3 times within 10 seconds. Leave key in the ignition.
Step 5: Open and close the driver’s door 3 times. (Door should be left open after this step).
Step 6: ECU should respond by locking and unlocking the doors.
Step 7: Press any button on remote #1 twice. ECU responds by locking and unlocking the car doors.
Step 8: Press any button on remote #2 (etc.) twice. Each time the ECU will respond by locking & unlocking the doors.
Step 9: Remove the key from the ignition and the ECU will respond a final time with a series of door locks and unlocks. You're done!

Hope this helps,
