Check the autozone.com website. Register your vehicle information. It's free, easy, and will give you access to an online repair manual for the car. I think they have a program where you can schedule maintenance intervals and be notified by email when they come due. The manual itself is worth the time. It's a pretty handy resource. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Have a 2008 rav 4 need to know if all wheel dr is 4 wheel dr or when should you use it?

The RAV4 is a 4 wheel drive vehicle.
All wheel drive is when all four wheels have power at all times. This can be permanent or manual engaged. Clutches are used to prevent tire damage.
4 wheel drive is when one set of wheels has power and the other two can be engaged manually or automatically.
You should use 4 wheel drive when in mud or snow and extra traction is needed. 4 wheel drive can not be used on dry pavement.

Is a fuel induction service necessary on 40k miles for a 2008 rav 4

no this is not a service the factory requires, it is dealer added, unless the car is running poorly and the fuel system is the problem save your money.

How do you put rav 4 into 4 wheel drive

I have a 2006 rav4....there is a button to the left side of the radio labeled 4WD push it and 4WD light comes on on dash. It is electronic. Bad thing is that it automatically turns off the 4WD when the car reaches about 25 MPH....This means that if you want to sling mud while going through a puddle at 10MPH while reading 40MPH on speedometer...you are out of luck.

Knowing when 4 wheel drive is "on" in 08 rav 4

You are quite welcome. Don't worry about the Lock button being on a few times, there is a fail-safe that unlocks it.
...My "new" salespeople has told our customers on a few occasions that the 4WD "kicks in/kicks out"...needless to say, they were quickly corrected. Glad to be of service to you today. The graciousness of a FixYa rating regarding my assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for choosing FixYa for the answer to your question.
