Most likely the sending unit inside the gas tank, is faulty, and will need to be replaced.

Fuel gauge stays on full all the time

This is messy, you have to access the wires to the sender. The sender is in the gas tank. You usually have to drop the fuel tank. then you can test the sender and the gauge to tell which one has the problem.

Usually means the sending unit in the tank is stuck or the gauge is not getting a signal from the sending unit.

2000 Pontiac Montana gas gauge stays on full and doesn't move the only time I've seen it moved was when the front of the van was jacked up what could be the problem?

Probably a bad sending unit in the tank,or maybe a broken tank baffle.(Either way, you're looking at taking out the tank to find out.

My 2008 chevy malibu fuel gauge dose not read only some times when its a full tank the gauge is dead but about 1/4 tank it reads but gos in and out ?

this is caused by a defective gas gage sending unit, the sending unit is part of the fuel pump module inside the gas tank, the gas tank must be removed to replace the fuel pump module that also contains the sending unit.

Gas gauge stays on full

very common. The sender in the gas tank is the problem.
It will need to be replaced some day
Both my gas tanks do the same thing in my F250. 1 tank stays full all the time and the other drops from full to about a half tank when I get to half a tank and then works so so till empty.

Gas gauge reads full most of the time some times reads true but always gos to full 99 F250 super duty

Check the harness connector at the fuel tank for a short to ground and test to see if the tank is properly grounded.

Fuel Gauge Stuck on Full 98 Pontiac Montana

When gauge is pegged at full, usually means a bad ground. Check wires at fuel tank, wiggle around, maybe one came off. The bad news is it is hard to get to without removing the tank. Sometimes you can reach arm in and get to them. Also check body ground at read of van.
