Dash lights and tail lights are intermittent. Fuses are fine. Sometime they come on after a few blocks of driving.

THERE'S A BAD GROUND SOMEWHERE, NEAR THE BATTERY ON THE FRAME OF THE CAR. THAT SHOULD CORRECT THE PROBLEM. SCRAPE THE WIRE CLEAN AND FRAME THEN PUT IT BACK

The gauge/gear/temp control lights do not work. Tail lights are fine. Bulbs are fine, replaced 2 fuses but problem persists, what to do??

The dash lights are on a different fuse and circuit from the tail lights.
If the lights in the instrument cluster work, the problem may be in the harness in the dash.

2000 Acura 3.5 RL suddenly has no tail lights or tag lights. Brake, reverse and blinker all work. Checked fuses-all appear fine. Decided to replace bulbs and noticed front right marker light out so changed...

The only thing that both the brake lights and tail lights use is a ground connection. Keep in mind the warning light on the dash may be for any exterior lamp. You may need to check the sockets and grounds on all four corners of the car.

Fuse keeps blowing dash lights and tail lights dont work jeep cherokee sport 1999

There are several fuses involved. I need to know which one(s). As for the taillights, the primary power source is 20A fuse 17 in the power distribution center. The tan/blk wire connects to the headlamp switch which, in park position, applies +12 volts through 10A fuse 7 in the junction block to the left tail light. The headlamp switch, in park position, also apples +12 volts through 10A fuse 23 in the junction block to the right tail light.

I need to know which fuse is blowing the instrument lights so you will have to follow up

Tail lights and dash lights

You'll have to read through your owners manual. For some time Auto makers have been putting your taillights on the same fuse as your dash lights as an automatic indicator that they are out. I would read through your owners manual and decided where and what fuse will supply power to the taillights and dash lights. If indeed all fuses in connection with the dash lights are good I would suspect the automatic starter.

Many manufacturers put the tail lights and dash lights on the same circuit since when we drive, we can not see if our tail lights are on or off. When the dash lights go out, anybody with an IQ over 60 will realize that there is a problem. Check again for fuses taking note of dirty or corroded fuse terminals or sockets. Also be sure that there is not another fuse box under the hood. Next, get a year/make/model specific wiring diagram. These can be had from multiple internet sources. Any extra stuff ( stereo, electrical equip, etc) patched in under the dash? Look for broken or torn connections. Good luck.
