Question about 2002 Ford Escort
There is a wire harness that is connected to the negative battery terminal. That part of the battery terminal snapped. What exactly is that harness for. Are all of those wires just connected to ground? I found a new harness from a junk yard and the battery started to smoke after I carefuly cut the wires and hard wired all 6 of the wires into the new negative harness terminal. Any ideas?
I am about to have the same problem with my 2002 ZX2. My shop called the Ford dealer and they can replace it for $450.00...
seems like an awful lot for a battery cable.
