I'm only taking a shot at this since it reminds me of something funny, yet similar that happened to me.
My Jeep Grand Cherokee has an automatic transmission with a console shifter. The Jeep wouldn't start, nor could I remove the key from the ignition. As it turned out, a penny was on the console and the shift lever pushed it up to the front and slightly under the trim where it was difficult to see. It prevented the lever from fully locating into the park position, and prevented the safety switch from registering that it was in park... = no start.
This may not be your situation, but it's a thought worth investigating.
Good luck!

Car starts runs and drives but stops driving if I wait 30 mins car will start and drive again

I think it is the ECU (Electronic Computer Module) that had a glitch in it. If it happens again try to remove the battery negative cable for a few minutes then reconnecting it again. If it starts, it just re-programmed itself. Make sure everything is off when you do this. Radio, heater, everything.

Take the ignition module to an auto zone to have it tested.
Back when computer control was new people had thought when the module is bad that the vehicle would not run, period. That is not true.

When i start the car it drives ok but after warming up a bit the car loses acceleration and starts to boggle?

check for a bad fuel pump relay. it maybe geting hot and shutting down. it may be a bad coolant tempurature sensor also, that sends info to ecm.The engine will think it was still cold, even though it was not, causing all kinds of things to run draggy. thats why it runs ok when its cold. it sends wrong info to computer. thinking its cold, when in reality its warm. have a good day !!

Sounds like to me your Fuel Pump might have quit on you. You would need to check Fuel Pressure with the proper testing equipment but a fast way if you are CAREFUL spray a little bit of carb cleaner while someone is cranking the car into the boot where the air filter is , if this VEHICLE has a Mass Air Flow sensor AVOID spraying into it or you will damage it. find another area to add this spray and see if it starts up.

2000 ford excursion v10 driving down the road

Honestly you should send it into the dealer. I don't think guessing will help you. Typically it is a dirty connection into the steering column (behind the ignition key) But diagnostics need to be run and a look at the VSS system (through a good scan tool) is needed to confirm.

When you drive your car in the morning for the first time, after going about 3 to 4 miles it starts having a surge like or a skip but goes away after about 5 more miles and don't do it again as long as you...

you need to have the engine coolant switch checked, since the computer relies solely on sensors, the ect tells the computer how cold or hot it is so the computer will make it a rich or lean mixture to start the engine,if it tells the computer that it is 75 degrees the computer will lean the mixture like starting a car in the winter without a choke.

Cannot reset on board computer on my 1998 Mercury Tracer 2.0L 4d

Hi Joe, Im not famila with your car as we dont get them over here in NZ, but what i do know is you seem to have your info back to front. To reset your computer in my experience is to disconnect the negative terminal and press on the brake pedal and hold a few times to drain the power from your computer (ECU) or leave off overnight (which wouldve been the case when the car sat for a month) I think what your mechanic means is to re-tune your ecu by letting it re-learn after a drive but i dont know what the hundred miles is about?? your computer should tune itself faster than that! Driving that far would be about how long a computer takes to adjust itself after a tune up or higher quality gas "without" reseting your computer. You computer will instantley ****** the timing if knock or lean mixture is detected to protect the engine but is very slow to advance it (hence the long drive). I suspect there is still a wee electrical problem thats why the computer reads "status not ready). The only advise i can give you from here is a auto sparky is more likley to find the fault than a mechanic!
I know i havnt solved your problem as it will be a hands on elimination process but i hope i have cleared up a few confusing things that you have been told.
