Lift and safely support vehicle (jack stands),remove wheel and tire assemblies, remove strut to knuckle bolts (two bolts and nuts located directly above the brake rotor very tight),then under the hood you will locate the top strut mount nuts and remove them(you may need to remove wiper linkage to do this) when you are ready to remove the last nut have an assistant hold the strut so it doesn't fall take the strut to a machine shop to get the cartridge changed (most napa stores are also machine shops go to napa online to find the one near you)
installation is the reverse of removal some cars require alignment after strut change torque specs are as follows strut to knuckle bolts 90-120 ftlbs upper mount nuts 40-60 ftlbs wheels 100 ftlbs

Replace front strut chevy venture

Its an easy job if you use a replacement strut assembly with the spring installed. These are best as you get a new top strut mount which includes a new top bearing ,a new spring and of coarse the new strut. 3 bolts at the top and a sway bar link to disconnect in the wheel well and 2 bolts at the strut/hub.If you do not buy an assembled strut DO NOT try to remove the spring without a GOOD spring compressor!!!!

Removing and installing trunk struts in chevy venture 2003

The trunk lift supports (struts) come fully extended. Install one end of the strut and then push up or open the trunk until the other end of the strut lines up with the ball stud and snap it on. If you cannot open the trunk far enough to line up the ball stud then you have gotten the wrong struts. Hope this helps.
