Some auto stores will pull the codes for you as a free service. The codes will tell what the problem is.
Check for an auto store in your area that provides that service.

1993 crown vic the check engine light goes on only with highway driving what could it be . When Im park and restart it its off again

You a have a check light on

That is called a MIL Lamp (Malfunction Indicator Lamp)

That not new to the auto industry

OBD1 Systems like yours stared in 1983 thru 1995

OBD2 is 1996 trhu 2013

So you check for codes every time you get any
dash light that doesn't go off once the engine is running

I would think you have experience with check lights & codes,
for decades with all your vehicles

Once you get the codes, I would guess your off to a repair shop,
as you didn't state you had codes or experience with cars & the
systems of the past 31 years

My egr vaulv i dnt knw how to change it on my crown vic

It unbolts from the throttle body and the pipe is screwed into it. But are you sure you need one. They rarely go bad. Usually if you have a check engine light on for the egr valve it is because of a bad DPFE sensor or a plugged passage in the throttle body.

1997 ford f150 just had egr valve replaced.. engine is hesitant and check engine light is on with error code 401.. whats the prob?

Everyone says to test out your DPFE sensor. This controls the flow of the egr. When the codes pull up, everyone thinks its the egr, but really its this little guy.
Take it by a shop and see if they can mess with the bugger. They usually run about $50+.

There is a green tube coming off the side of my egr valve and it seems to be cut will replacing this tube solve my check engine problems

Hello Malcolm.
The vacuum line to the EGR will certainly cause your check engine light to come on.
The vacuum hoses on these cars become brittle with age, I generally replace broken lines with a quality rubber hose available at your local auto supply.
The check engine light may take a while to turn off without clearing service codes.
If the light is still on after a couple days of driving you may have other issues turning on the check engine light.
Hope your repair goes well for you.

Engine stalls while driving. can happen at any time. at speed or at idle. restarts right away and runs fine until the next incident.

Is the check engine light on? If it is, I would suggest that you take the car to an autoparts store and have them use a scan tool and retrieve the fault code(s) that are stored in the computer. The problem you describe could be caused by a faulty EGR valve or throttle position sensor, but getting the codes will narrow down the pesky problem. Sure hope this helped you.

also have them change the oxygen sensors, if it's deemed necessary. have someone reset the computer. if the light stays off, then you don't have to.

Ford Crown Vic p0300 random cylinder misfire

take a look at the EGR valve it could be either vacum controlled or electronic either way what seems to be the problem is that the valve is stuck in the open position until the engine warms up you can gently tap the egr valve with a small hammer or a screw driver and you can see that it runs smooth, now if the egr valve is vacum controlled replace the valve. if it is electronoc controlled replace the valve and the module for the egr valve.
