I have a 2001 Buick Century. I just had my radiator flushed about 1 month ago. Recently I noticed a small amount of fluid in my driveway. Several days ago while I was driving my ''low coolant'' light came on. The indicator was in the middle. Not on the red at all. My husband added close to a gallon of fluid. Again noticed just a small amount of fluid. The ''Low Coolant'' has not come on since (yet). Where could it be leaking from ?

One good way to find where a coolant leek is coming from - is - when you get home and the car is good and warmed up - "hot".. Park it up on ramps if you have them.. Right after you shut it off - it will build even more pressure in the cooling system.. At this time car is off - open the hood and look (from under the hood and from under the car if you have ramps) for leeks,, listen for the "hissssss".. If the leek is just to small and/or to difficult to find - take it to a shop or oil change place for a compression test of the cooling system to locate the leek..

Hopefully its just a hose leek..

Good luck..

I can't locate the radiator drain plug on my 2001 buick century. Help!

Not all radiators have them, just remove the lower radiator hose and spray hot water through it from the top till it comes out clear, usually works better anyhow... Note: if your coolant is nasty and all brown and gummed up its cause you have a leaking intake gasket and oil is mixing with your coolant,, if this is the case you may have to replace the radiator as well as the gasket on the intake..

Where is 2003 buick century sensor located

Before you did any repairs to address your overheating problem, did you check to see if your fans were working at all ? One way to check if they are working is by starting your vehicle and turning the A/C on, they should automatically start running. If they do not, begin to perform diagnosis to that electric circuit.

I own a Buick 1999 Century and have been having many problems recently. The temperature gauge keeps reading that it is overheated; while the last two weeks it was not overheated, it did need obsessive...

You might try replacing your radiator cap or if you system is pressurized, you may have to replace the degas bag (fill container). Another problem could be a bad thermostat or an improperly installed thermostat. I forgot to mention, does your engine fan operate? If not, that would also cause your car to overheat.

Trying to flush the radiator--cannot find the bleed valve for coolant.

The drain should be on the drivers side at the bottom of the radiator, facing the driver. It's a plastic "wing" that unscrews. There should also be a bleeder for exhausting the air from the system when you refill. The bleeder I'm familiar with is a brass screw screwed into the thermostat housing. (where the top hose attaches at the engine)
