Some batterys only have side terminals,& all they give you is a fat washer under the attachment bolts.they make jumper cables w/a narrow clamp for these, but standard jumpers can work.

code p0045 refers to turbo/super charger boost control solenoid---circuit open causes ==wiring--boost control solenoid
p0046 refers to turbo/ super charger boost control solenoid--circuit range/ performance===causes ---wiring---boost control solenoid ---mechanical fault.
code refers to system voltage --low===causes wiring---poor connection---battery---alternator
it also refers to ECM power relay control--circuit open===causes -wiring --- ECM relay.
looks like 2 boost solenoids and I would ensure that the battery posts and terminals are shiny clean and tight. have a load test done on the battery to check for bad cell and check the alternator drive belt for condition and tension . Have an out put test done by an accredited auto electrician on the alternator

Can you boost off a 99 crown victoria battery

Yes, you can. Be advised to hook the positive cable to the positive posts first ( + ) on both batteries, then the negative cable to the "good" battery negative post ( - ) next, then to the "bad" battery's negative post.
It is preferable to do the last step hookup to the engine block (or somewhere else that is steel) than the bad battery to prevent a spark which very rarely can make an explosion.
Also remember. Your alternator is not a battery charger. Therefore, if and when you decide to "boost" someone else off, after you hook up the cables you may well need to have your car engine running about 1,500 RPM and leave the cables to the "bad" battery on for about 5 minutes.

I have a 1979 dodge van and it will only start with a boost, what is the problem? Battery is good and everything is clean on posts.

Sounds like the starter may be bad on it if it requires two batteries to start the car and the posts are clean.

Check your battery connections. Take them off the battery and clean the posts and inside the + and - cables. If that does not help, the battery may be bad.

Have a 1991 or 1995 Intrepid and car died, tried to boost the car gave it power than died, we noticed corrosion on the posts so cleaned the posts. (Noticed lights and power was coming back on when...

did it stay running when connected to the car giving the boost? if so then the alternator is not charging the electrical system, get it serviced or replaced.

Van will not start even with boost no turning over just a little noise in the fuse box

Pull on your battery cables at the battery. It is possible your battery posts have seperated from the battery and have partial contact. The other possibility is the ground cable from the battery to the engine(via the radiator core support) could be loose at the core support.

Van starts with boost but not withuot

Your battery needs to be replaced. If your battery is in good condition, I would suspect the alternator, but you wouldn't be able to drive very far once it was started if this is the case.
