The hydraulic pump /resevior is located behind the back seat.lift up front of bottom cusion,pull forward,remove.lift up on seat back,like it's hanging on hooks.remove.locate fill screw or rubber plug on top of resevior.w/ top down fluid should be 1/2'' to3/4''below top of fill hole.it uses automatc trans fluid,so if you see red fluid under the seat you have a leak.

My 350z Nissan convertible top wont close all the way to the trunk
Lubricate every single part that moves in the top frame all the hinge points, use a light oil like 3 in1. Wipe off the excess do not get it on the interior trim like seats and door panels. Move the top up an down a few times to work the oil in and then try putting it all the way down. Good luck

2008 Beetle alarm goes off when top down for 10sec. every time I take off and light is blinking Only when top is down.
May be a faulty microswitch in the convertible top. Best to have the top operation scanned by a dealer or someone with access to a vagcom diagnostic tool.

Just added coolant to reservoir 1 hose back into
That will be your over float goes no where but down, there should be another hose that goes to the radiator.

COVErt Top stops before it is all the way down
Try using the reset proceedure of simply turning the car on and use the all windows up and down switch on the driver side door. This is used when the battery is replaced. It might re-set your motor.
