Check your belts, air filter, coolant level, thermostat operation first. If all looks good, then have your cooling system flushed. It could be many things but this is the best place to start.

As I remember, you had to press and hold. Also, try turning your vehicle off, wait and turn it back on as it should reset. No worries.
I remember it got stuck in first gear (automatic) and wouldn't change gears so I pulled over, turned off the ignition, waited a minute, turned it on and it was reset. All is fine with the Porsche.
Firat thing you do see if the wire going to the headlight has 12volts. If there is 12volts then make sure the head light is not burtn out. Also check the condition of the plug to see if it is corroded.
