THERE ARE TWO FUSE PANELS ON MOST CARS..ONE IN THE PASS COMPARTMENT AND ONE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.

ALSO, SOME THINGS RUN ON NOT ONLY FUSES, BUT RELAYS AND CIRCUIT BREAKERS AS WELL.

IN ADDITION, SWITCHES CAN GO, AND IN RELATION TO A POWER SEAT, OFTEN THE WIRING GETS EXPOSED TO WATER, DIRT AND SAND ETC.

GOOD LUCK.

My 2005 clk 500 comfort settings for the seats/steering wheel set for 1st time then only steering wheel goes up and seat does not go back? Help

Have the codes read for the entire car. Most likely the body control module(BCM). Points to a bad plug, fuse or most likely the BCM. Start with the fuse for corrosion.

Driver side seat will not adjust and the steering wheel adjust will not work.

If adjustment is electric check fuses in fuse box, if it is mechanic you need to take apart steering and seat, in this case is better to go to a garage.

Central locking not working seat altea

Is this with the key in the door or with the key fob remote?
Check the basics first. Is the battery in the remote working? If in doubt replace it with a good quality battery.
Next check the fuse. It should be the fuse box under the dashboard, possibly under the steering wheel. I think it's fuses 49, (10 amp-red), and 50, (25 amp-clear/white).
if these are OK it could be one or more of the servo units in the doors at fault.

Front passenger power seat quit working

Check the fuse located underneath the drivers side steering wheel. Flip over the plastic fuse box cover lid and you will find a diagram that shows what fuse controls the seat. Replace that fuse with the same number fuse.

Heated seats quit working 2005 audi a4 1.8T .....what should i look for 1st? is there a common problem or fuze to look for somewhere?

Yes. Look for the fuse. Open driver door all the way. It is next to the steering wheel, between the door and dash. Remove cover, and there should be a card that tells you which one is the seat heater.

Driver power seat adjustment and steering tilt not

It would appear that the relay is misfunctioning. Try swapping one from nearby and when your car won't start but your seats operate then you'll know what to do. THanks, Dana

Horn not working due to clock spring

The part is still available from GM. It is part # 94857236.

You must be careful when replacing the clock spring as it controls the SRS system.
You will need to remove the steering wheel airbag and and the steering wheel itself.

Important: Perform this procedure in order to prevent deployment of the air bags from the reserve energy supply power.

  1. Remove the CIG and IGN Fuses from the junction block (1), which is located near the base of the steering column.
  2. Remove the lower steering column trim cover.
  3. Turn the steering wheel so that the vehicle's wheels are pointing straight ahead.
  4. Remove the key from the ignition switch
  5. Release the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil connector locking mechanism.
  6. Disconnect the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil connector C3
  7. Remove the Instrument Panel (IP) compartment (2)
  8. Release then unlock the IP module connector (1).
  9. Disconnect the IP module pigtail.
  10. Release and unlock the driver and passenger seat module connectors.
  11. Disconnect the driver and passenger seat modules.42de416.gif0276398.gif6983629.gife094e58.gif

Driver seat and steering wont adjust on my 95 740il

here's what you have to do:
#1. make sure the fuse to the seat adjustment is not blown, its usually a 10 or 15amp fuse.
#2. unscrew the cover to the controls on the driver's seat and make sure the harness is not loose or
broken, if the harness fails to attach to the control board correctly the steering wheel and the
seat adjustment will not work, this harness tends to come loose and even brake over time due to
the constant movement when you get in and out of your car.
I hope this solves your problem.
