Im trying to che ck the fuel pump under the hood by a hose going into the motor. which hose would i be looking for? i have a 2000 dodge stratus.

All over the place, there should be a vacuum hose diagram under the hood for the most important functions.

If the question is how, you remove the fuel tank.

If you have a test light test the wire that turn on the fuel pum p it only has 3 wires ground fire n the fuel gauge if no fire at the wire ck fuse n relay

Response: On the passenger side of the engine. You'll have to go under the car and look for the harmonic balancer -- located on the end of the crankshaft and you should see it.It has 1 screw and it is on the engine under the passenger side under the tire by the bottom pulley.

Check the ASD relay in the under hood power distribution box. This powers the ignition system . Do you know what a relay is, how to test it ? Videos on youtube .

You should notice a small amount of coolant under the car after it has sat for awhile coupled with a small amount of coolant coming from the weep hole located on the water pump itself.

Check the hose connection at the pump to make sure it is tight and look for signs of a cracked hose to eliminate that as the source of your leak.

Fuel pump in the gas tank....relay under hood in junction box..

Check the skematic under the hood,probably the charcoal casister is where it goes to. That leak will make the car run crappy.

Checked inside panel, and under hood for power distribution box, remove cover & map should be under cover. Usually close to battery.
