How to replace front wheel bearing

Jack up vehicle, use jack stands for safety. Remove wheel, brake caliper, axle nut, brake caliper bracket, rotor. Remove wheel hub bearing bolts, unplug speed/abs sensor, remove bad assy. Good idea to clean up any corrosion on spindle where bearing mounts and use anti seize in case you have to replace again down the road. Sometimes it is a pain to get bearing assy. loose from spindle because of corrosion. Reverse order of dissassembly and use manuf. suggested torque for reassembly.

How to replace front wheel bearing on 2001 buick lesabre2006 buick lesabre

The bearings on a LeSabre are part of the hub assembly. The hub and bearing will have to be replaced as a unit. To do this you'll need to raise the car, remove the wheel, remove the caliper guide bolts, lift and support the caliper-I use a bent metal clothes hangar to support. Do not loosen the brake line. Slide the brake rotor off the lugs. Disconnect the electrical connector for the antilock brake system. The connector is behind the wheel. Then remove the four bolts holding the hub assembly. The bolts are behind the wheel. Be sure to hold the hub while removing. To install reverse the order. Be sure to check and tighten bolts to specifications when reassembling.

How do I fix the front wheel berrings in a 95 buick lesaber

the bearing is a sealed bearing located inside of the steering knuckle. you need to take off the wheel, use a puller to remove the bearing & then you need to press the new bearing into the housing. depending on your ability and tools this might be a job for a pro

My 2001 buick lesabre starts to make a dronning sound from the front end around 30mph and gets louder the faster you go!

Wheel bearings or hubs.If you listen and turn one way or the other the sound goes away. It's usually the one your turning towards, and the sound goes away. Here's the process.

Abs & traction light on 1997 buick lesabre

This is a fairly common problem, Gm has actually issued a service bulletin regarding this repair. The problem probably originates from one of your wheel speed sensors that is mounted inside one of your front wheel bearings. To be sure, you need to have the car scanned to find out which one and then you have to replace the whole bearing assembly because the sensor is integral to the bearing. The bearing is not hard to do but you will need some professional tools if you want to do it yourself. At a shop it should cost between 3 and 400 dollars complete.

The brake rotor needs to be removed, drive shaft nut in center of hub then 3 bolts hold the hub assembly to spindle from back side. if it has abs unplug it then some work will need to be done with a hammer and chisel to work the bearing out of spindle and axle shaft from bearing
