is the car on in incline if so you may have to user some force to get it out, the other problem may be the linkage at trany but this is only if the shifter moves and car is in park, if the shifter doesnt move and theres no incline then make sure the brake lights work because when you step on the brake the shift lock releases the shifter and it gets power from the brake switch so if the light dont work theres no power to the shift lock to release, try these check first. hope this helps,
dear friend-remove the cable from the gearbox,then move the gearshift to see if that is free.if that is free then move the link on the gearbox to see if that is normal.that should give you a idea of were the problem lies.
