Question about 2001 Volkswagen Golf
I have a Rover 25 1.4 Y reg and the drivers side rear tyre keeps going down. I have been told the tyre has not got any puncture and that the problem is rim leak, are there any solutions without having new alloys .
Sorry couldnt find Rover 25 as option below so put similar car
If the problem is sealing around the bead, the tire needs dismounted and the corrosion cleaned off of the wheel. In extreme cases I've had to use a thin layer of spray gasket maker to fill in some rough areas. If the problem lays in the wheel where the tire does not contact, some grinding and RTV can fix it, also with the tire dismounted.
