It is probably the fuel pump or a fuel pump relay

GMC safari won't start, new coil, ICM, plugs (delco) Wires, cap, rotor, get's gas, new starter.

This just happened to my Dad's 1998 GMC Safari...

Firstly...

Check the hard vacuum line as previously noted by others.
If that's ok, then take off the intake pipe and spray brake clean into the throttle body while trying to crank it.

If it starts.. then you have a fuel related issue, if it doesn't start then you have an electrical related issue.

Our van did not start after trying to use brake clean.

Take off the console inside the vehicle's cab and get at the distributor.

Usually people noted that the ICM (ignition control module, inside the distributor) was the main issue here, but on our van, the distributor and wires looked brand new so it was probably recently changed (we got this van 5 months ago), so I assumed the spark plugs were also changed at the same time.

We unplugged the connection from the coil to the distributor, tried to crank it, and no spark was being generated, boom, got a new coil and starts up fine.

Just takes a bit of trial and error.

93 gmc safari odometer stopped working, then started again, then turns over but won't start.

It could be a bad fuse or a bad fuel pump not providing fuel for the car. It could also be an issue with the timing belt.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi there I have gmc safari van 1996 replaysd fulepump pump is running but the motor won't star sprayd some braick cleaner in to air intake it starts what can that be can the pump give not enough...

If you replaced the pump with a new pump it is unlikely you have 2 dud pumps, if it was a second hand pump or a different type of pump then you need to test the pressure.
The problem sounds more like the injectors are not pulsing, you need a tester to plug into the injector harness that will flash a light each time the injector pulses. These are cheap and available from good auto shops. It won't fix the problem but at least you will know where to look or not to look.
Hope that helps

My car has been sitting for 2 years and won't start. The engine turns over but it sounds like not getting gas. I read somewhere to spray gas starting inside air intake valve. Where is the air intake v

Safer is to use 'carburetor cleaner' which is also flammable but a little less dangerous than using gasoline. After sitting a long time, our modern gasoline gets tired; never allow something to sit so long without adding some 'fuel stabilizer.'If possible with your car, I would drain (siphon) the tired gas out and replace it with a few gallons of fresh.
Really tough starting problems can also be overcome with 'starting fluid' which is pure ether and very flammable.Any of these may require the removal of the engine air filter so the liquid gets into the intake manifold.
Stale gasoline can also gum up the fuel injectors which may have to be removed for service if none of the fluids causes the engine to fire.

Wont stay runnin

It sounds like the same problem I have on occasion with my 1994 GMC Safari van. You need to check your AIC valve ( air intake control) it may be bottomed out wich is the reason it starts but will not stay running. Now I also have another possilbe solution ckeck to see if your catlist converter is not plugged . Not shure why but these are some of the solutions that I have for what happenes to my van . Hope this info can be of some help.
