Is the spark orange or blue. If it is orange then you are not getting the proper spark to the plug. Change the wire. Also check the crank and cam sensors and make sure they are working properly. You can ohm them out and make sure they are working right. You can get the ohm readings from repair manual.

sounds like the only thing left is the valve lash. If the intake gasket was bad, it would most likely cause a vacuum leak and effect the overall performance of the engine. You may also notice some oil consumption as well. Also, verify the firing order is correct.

Its like its missing,no power.maybe one cyl not working prop

MANY THINGS WILL CAUSE MISSING AND NO POWER LIKE FAULTY TPS SENSOR. SOUND LIKE STOPPED UP FUEL FILTER, CLOGGED FUEL INJECTORS, CLEAN FUEL INJECTORS IF YOU HAVE ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTIONS.OMIT IF YOU HAVE 2 BARREL CARBURETOR. DO A LITTLE TUNE UP.REPLACE DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND ROTOR. REPLACE SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES. A BAD IGNITION COIL WILL CAUSE ENGINE TO MISS.DO A COMPRESSION TEST CHECK FOR WORN CYLINDERS WILL CAUSE ENGINE MISS.

Check engine light is on, they say multiple miss fire in cylcinder 6. but no one can find the problem van runs great

first do a cylinder compression test on engine to verify good engine compression this should be around 110psi to 175 psi check for vacuum leak, intake port for #6 cylindermay be leaking air, or also check coil for that cylinder, if wire and spark plug have already been changed, last replace fuel injector for that cylinder.

Multiple cyl misfire

please check on compression of all the cylinders. IF there is any valve damage this could cause a fault. Please check this out if your fuel and spark are ok.

99 dodge caravan #4 cylinder misfires, i replaced spark plug wires and spark plugs. Scanner showed #4 still misfiring, could this be the coil?

It could very well be a bad coil pack,or you have low compression in that cylinder. If the compression is good then go with the coil pack,if not you may need a head gasket or an intake manifold gasket.

MISFIRE ON CYLINDER 5. I have changed plugs, wires, coil pack, fuel injector, and ECU unit. I have had two compression tests and it was put on a diagnostic machine. Everyone is scratching their heads as...

Same problem. 94 LHS 3.5L engine. Noticeable rythmic misfire at idle. Looks like cyl 5. When I pull the injector connector off of cyl 5 the idle rythm does not change. It does if i pull the inj connector off of any other cylinder. Spark OK. Injector ok using seperate 12vdc supply (clicks). Connector to injector has pulses on it verified with a test light. Inj coil resistanceis 12 ohms, exactly what it should be.

Still need to check compression and intake manifold gasket
