How much antifreeze to put in?

My coolant is low on my 2002 Chevy Cavalier. How much antifreeze should I put in? I don't see a 'fill to' line on the tank.

There should be a mark there somewhere...generally filling to 3/4 full is fine. If you overfill a bit the worst that will happen is that it will spit out the excess....better than under-filling. Also since you needed to add coolant I suggest you take a good look to make sure there aren't any leaks. Better to take care of any while they are small and not causing big problems.

How do You change the antifreeze on a 2002 Volvo S40 1.9t

There will be a drain plug in the bottom of the Radiator so you can drain the old Coolant out. Close the drain plug and refill from the Coolant Tank on the inner fender well. Fill it with the engine off then start it up and finish filling to the full line on the coolant tank.

It's a 12 volt motor for the fan...with the car cold, not running, and no key in the ignition...check to see if the fan will turn by spinning it with your hand...more than likely it is seized (the motor case may have actually rotted and swollen) and needs replacement...other than that...you may have a bad relay or temperature sensor.

I flushed my antifreeze in my 2002 Ford Explorer and filled with regular antifreeze. It was still low so I added DEXCOOL antifreeze that I have for my Chevy...Since then, my windows are either not...

sometimes when you flush the system especially if you use a flush chemical and have a weak seam on the radiator, heater core, water pump, etc. any part of the cooling system it will cause a leak I have had it happen to me before, it sounds like the heater core is leaking which unfortunately is expensive to replace

Indicator light on my 1997 chevy cavalier is lit. I don't have an owners manual that show what the trouble light is. It has an arrow pointing down to a pair of horizontal lines

That is your low coolant lamp. You should check your coolant level with the engine cold. Fill it with coolant if it is low, and inspect it, or have it inspected for a leak, or faulty coolant level sensor.

How much coolant should I put in my 1998 chevy cavalier 2.2 liter?

First, premix coolant with water to get a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water then just fill your radiator to full and your coolant recovery tank up to the full cold mark (indicator on side of tank) run your car let it reach operating tempature, turn it off let it cool and recheck levels and reservice if necessary. You wouldn't need more than 1 or 1 1/2 gallons of coolant if you premix. Hope that helps.

you need to bleed the coolant through the radiator tube. there is a bold on the bottom steel line on the driver side of the motor back it out but not all the way and then fill your radiator until antifreeze comes out of the hole on that line. make sure it is a steady stream before tighten it up

Smelling antifreeze from the coolent A !
Definitely a leak!
Hopefully not a head gasket leak!
Try warming it up without any accessories on until it gets good and hot, pop the hood and look all around!
