I disconnected my battery on my 2006 Sprinter 3500 van, reconnected the battery and the radio needs a code, the manual doesn't say what that might be, only how to enter it. Any help out there? Last vin 65895333 Thank you.

Have you contacted the Dodge Dealer? They have the Code for you

alldata doesn't list this as an active code for either the 2500 or 3500

You need to bring VIN # to dealer to get radio code, it's a theft deterrent option and dealer has only access and needs VIN#

any time the battery is removed without a memory saver the radio gets locked-this is for security purposes-if you bought the vehicle brand new there should be a radio code card in with your owners manual-if not you will have to contact a dodge dealer to get the new radio code or to get it reset-if you have to go to dodge for the code i recommend writing it down in case it happens again

i would change all glow plugs and the relay. while doing so make sure the battery is disconnected, also once i had a sprinter with multiple codes and intermittently would run very rough and sometimes not drivable.changed the engine wiring harness and the problem was solved.

Technical Description

Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Malfunction

Basically this means that there's a problem with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor or circuit.

You will likely not notice any serious driving problems, but there may be symptoms like a general decrease in power or sluggishness.
Causes

A code P0100 may mean one or more of the following:

* The MAF may be disconnected, or a wiring connection may be bad.
* The MAF sensor may be faulty.

Possible Solutions

Use an OBD II Reader (or go tou your local parts store and they will for free) and reset the code and see if it comes back.
Then start with the cheapest, easiest repair procedures:

* Check the Mass Air Flow Sensor wiring/harness is connected properly and that there are no broken / frayed wires.
* Unplug and reconnect the MAF wiring harness a few times to clear the contacts.
* Check the voltage of the MAF sensor (refer to a repair manual for vehicle specific information).
* Replace the MAF sensor.

Key might lost the code memory due to weak battery or ECU might be faulty, try to disconnect battery and reconnect, check fuse box make sure EMS fuse in place, call technician out for diagnosis test and key coding.

I did this exact thing.. I see your date of posting is a while ago, however let me know how you ended up.. If you leave the battery connected while installing the relay you can short it out causing the problem all over again.. also there is a couple points that run along that wiring harness that are known to rub through.. let me know how you did!

the dealer shouldnt have to hand out radio codes to anyone. the dealer will need to see your licence and registration document to prove that you are the owner of the vehicle.

I have a Mercedes 416Cdi (Same Vehicle) You can get the radio code from your Dodge dealer, Take your Vin Number or Title to them and they'll check the system on file.
That is of course if it is the original fitted Radio.
Over here in U.K. there are people who can plug the radio into a P.c. and retrieve the code at a cost.
