if you remove the battery it disables the airbag firing mechanism. I would still be extremely careful because I thing they use some kind of explosive cap to fire it. If you aren't comfortable find a mechanic to do it for you. better safe than sorr

check cratnkshaft sensor.

Usually a problem inside the radio unless you have an external amp.

Go to nearest AutoZone or many other parts places will check it for free.

Here ya go! #1 on the cap is the solid white dot...and then it goes clock-wise, 2, then 3 and so on.

Remove your belt and reach down in there with engine off check make sure you can turn all pulley's with your hand make sure none are lock up, also see if you can turn front plate on A/C compr and hub bearing where belt ride's on.
