I get constant "check engine" indication. Also it gets hot if the A/c is not running, takes a very long self ignation and requires multiple attempts. Electrician said everything seems to be ok - but may be a computerized diagnostics will be required. Any help in the matter would be highly appreciated.
Over heat may be caused by radiator fan not coming on. The /c either has its own fan or bypasses the sensors for he fan when it's turned on.. Have the fan realay chk'd. Igniyion? Try turning on the key, give it a few seconds to build fuel pressure, see if that helps. Youi may just simply need a thorough tune up and servicing. Good Luck, -Ned-

- Hi there, me again. Ned. Are there two fans on the radiator? If so, the left fan is usually the engine cooling fan. The right fan is the air conditioning fan. This fan comes on when you turn on the air conditioner. The engine fan comes on automsatically at a predetermined engine temp. Both fans are separate from each other and will run at different times. The A/C fan stays on as long as the a/c is on to cool the condensor of the a/c.because it cannot fluctuate in temp and pressure without affecting the cooling effect. The only other fan is inside the car under the dashboard, It blow rhe air over the a/c evaporator to remove the heat and produce the cold air that comes out of the vents. Is this more what you were asking about the fans? I hope this was what you needed to know. Thank you and happy motoring -Ned-

- The fans are technicaly ineffective at speeds above 35 miles per hour, due to the ram air affect of speed Does the car overheat at high speed, low speed or both? When does it start? right away or after driving awhile? - Ned- This next part is very important. Are all the deflectors and fan shtroud in place? What pressure radiator cap is on this vehicle? For every pound of pressure the boiling point of water is raised 2 degrees. Limit on a passenger vehicle is 15# cap.Anti freeze is a good coolant, yet, too strong a mixture can retain heat instead of relesing it to the radiator. The coolant mix should be around 60/40, 40% being the water.Feel free to contact me if you have anymore quesrions. Good Luck.

Bring it to Autozone to have it diagnosed for free... The code will tell you what the issue is. As it stands, without the code, there's nowhere to even start guessing

Thanks but I do not understand where AutoZone is? I am in the Middle east (Bahrain) so any other ideas?
Thanks again.

You could have a faulty temp sensor. The only way to tell why the check engine light is on, is to have the engine codes read which many part stores do for free. THis will pinpoint exact problem
