The horn on my Ford F350 7.3 diesel 4X4 crewcab sitting idle in the driveway started honking and would not stop until I removed the fuse. After I removed Fuse #37 for the horn I could not get the cruise control to work. Are these on the same fuse? How do I stop the horn honking? It was very hot when it did it the first time, but it's in the 80's now.

WHEN THE HORN IS GOING OFF PUT A GROUND WIRE TO THE BODY OF THE HORN IF THIS STILL HAPPEN CHECK YOUR HORN SWITCH IN THE STEERING IT MAY BE STIKING OR THE WIRE MAY HAVE SHORTS

You will need to replace that "stop horn" fuse since it also feeds power to the stop lamps and the gear shifter solenoid, when you step on the brake pedal. Your best bet is to unplug the horn on the vehicle(to stop it from honking) until you can get it fixed. That way, you will be able to shift out of park to get it to a shop for repairs.
hey, im not sure what your car is like but if you do not have an airbag steering wheel then you can just pull the horn pad straight off and replace it... see if that works but remember its illegal to not have a horn technicaly so its best to fix it quick
there is a short in the horn wiring, you may disconnect the horn relay, that the easiet thing to do. owners manual should have a layout of where the relay is. Steering wheel switches most likely.
sounds like the horn contact terminal inside the steering wheel got disconnected and is hitting a metal part of the steering column which triggers the horn. the terminal that got disconnected is probably has positive polarity and the metal part of the steering column has negative polarity. If they come in contact with each other... *honk* *honk*
You may find that you have a horn fuse if you do simply remove it other wise here it is. The horn in my 1994 ford tempo is located behind the right front tire
wheel well. (1) Remove the right front tire. (2)Remove the inside thick
black cardboard protector(A lot of work)(3)Look up inside the fender.
You will see 2 small horns. One marked high(h) and one marked low(l). hope this helps....Good luck!
