Runs lumpy when idling

My Renault Megane Scenic 1998 2.0 petrol, when idling runs lumpy but doesn't stall. Runs fine when driving along. Any suggestions?

Just brought a megane 165 2.0 turbo,nice car,just been serviced from a renault dealer 29000 on the clock,HOWEVER,the toxic fume light flickas on and off at slow speed,it goes off at normal travelling speed,the car is not misfiring,it all seems ok,ive rang the dealer i bought it from and hes saying because the car stands often a week between being used its getting some condenstation in or around the cataltic converter,like i said the car is running fine,DO YOU THINK THE GUY IS FOBBING ME OFF,in the manual it says it should be checked over,any thoughts?

I have a 2004 Renault Megane Scenic 1.6 petrol engine. The cooling fan does not come on when the heat gauge is rising.
Unplug coolant temp sensor while running to see if fan turns on. Or could be fan relay. Can check fan motor by unhooking plug and jumping on battery to see if it runs.

Zigzag light on megane scenic dashboard comes on car revs high then low usually stalls then coming to a stop. 1998 renault megane scenic rt manual. thanks
this exact problem on a megane coupe is caused by a small air pipe that connects to a 2 inch wide black box that is located under the bonnet near the windscreen on the passangers side. the zigzag light indicates an electrical fault (in this case lack of compression and will affect your revs) if you find this pipe and it has snapped off. the reason for this may be that your engien is lose and moves. grab the engien with 2 hands and see if you can wobble it with allot of play. if so your engien mountings need replaceing. you may also experiance juddering in low gears

Renault megane scenic 1.9 dt r reg 1997 cold start problems
This being a diesel, lack of compression is your worst enemy. These symptoms sound like a blown head gasket. Check your coolant for signs of oil, and check your oil for signs of coolant. (oil will be milky looking) Also indicative of a head gasket problem is an oil or coolant leak from the engine as well. If you see no evidence of the above, have a compression test done, and it should show up.

1998 renault megane ignition problems. My wifes Renault megane scenic 1998 has has nothing but problems since we bought it. The most recent being as follows. I was driving the car and stalled it. from then...
it sounds like one of three things are happening
1.your battery has adead cell in it and does not have enough cracking amps

2. your alternater isn't charging your battery enough

3. your starter is worn out causing it to need more amps to turn over

You can go to your local auto parts store and have them test your battery and charging system usually for free. if the battery and charging system checks out then pull the starter off and have it tested.

RENAULT MEGANE 1.6 FUEL PUMP RELAY CLICKING
i was told i needed a new fuel pump relay for my renault megane but when i put in the new one it only worked for a few minutes. the only way i can get my car to work now is by inserting some wire into two points on the relay bos and bypassissing the cut off device.any suggestions?
