Truck not stoping and anti brake is working.

My 2005 chevy 4x4 Silverado anti brake works on dry pavement and does not stop right away. It only has 20,000 miles on it.

Mostly in the morning.

Do you have oversized tires on your truck? If yes it will affect the operation of ABS brakes.

Dosen't stop at all or just slow?, if the abs is working then you should feel the pulseing in the brake pedal just before tire lock-up, the tires will not lock-up with abs fully funtioning unless all four tires or two are in lock-up depending on the abs application, if abs fails it reverts it self to regular braking ability, hope this helps

pulsates ARE normal for this truck it means abs is working.

I have a 2001 Chevy Silverado 4X4 Crew cab. 8.1 liter, Allison Auto transmission My anti lock brake and e-brake warning lights come on after I drive for a few miles, they will not go off until I turn off...

yes the front sensor will collect metal shavings causing this same problem.however you need to have it scanned when the lights are on. auto zone scans for free. the front sensors are in the front hubs. replace as a set as assymblies.

The brakes will pulsate on dry pavement

Do you have rear disc brakes? If so .the problem is in the rear brakes. This can happen also with drum brakes,so have the rear checked also.Check the front wheel bewaring assemblys also for movement .up and down.and side ways, any movement other than turning,if much at all could also be the problem.I hope this helps.>>[email protected]

2001 Chevy Silverado anti-lock brakes activate on dry pavement, the pedal pulsates, the typical anti-lock brake sound is heard, and the truck feels like it is not going to stop at times

One of the sensors has gone bad and needs to be replaced, the other thing to that would also do that is the ABS sensor is dirty or needs to be re gaped to the speed ring on the hub. There was a issue bulletin with your Tahoe on the ABS activating under 8 km/h. Good luck and hope this helps, if not clean out the sensor with brake parts cleaner and check the wire harness and ABS sensor bracket. Re gap the sensor to the speed ring hub. Here is the bulletin. Anti lock Brake (ABS) Activation at Low Speeds (Clean Wheel Speed Sensor Mounting Surface) #03-05-25-007C - (05/16/2006) 2001-2006 Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe

Anti-lock brakes activate on dry pavement

First, is the ABS light on? Does it come on when it's doing it? Make sure the brake fluid is full, and the brakes are still servicable, ie, pads still have meat on them. If so, the abs control module or a speed sensor might be on the way out. This is a safety issue, and I would recommend getting the truck to a good mechanic to have it checked out.

Hooked my 2007 Sprinter camping trailer to the factory lights/brakes hook-up located below bumper of my 2005 Silverado 4x4 extended cab truck. Everything works fine except for the right trailer turn...

Is this a 4 way or 6 way connection system? If your truck is wrong, then all factory equipped trailer package harnesses would be wrong, tell your trailer guy...I don't think so.
Is this the first trailer you have hauled?
Let me know, and we will go from there.

Antilock brake system engages on low speed stops on dry pavement on my 2004 Silverado.

The most likely cause is rust buildup under wheel speed sensors causing them to dislodge(lift up) from front hubs and read incorrectly. If recall has been performed to fix this problem...You may have to replace the appropriate hub in order to stop the ABS activation at low speeds. Let me know if i can help more.
