my odometer just began bouncing up and down and my explorer dies when i stop...but starts right up
it just started this yesterday...and has happened two times in twenty four hour period...I am worried

Sounds like the idle air control solenoid is either sticking or is bad. It will let the motor die when at a stop very easily. You need to have the ecu scanned for a code to verify this first before doing anything else. I have even had a situation where a bad tank of gas also caused this, a fill-up cured it right away. Hope any of this helps you.
