Are you sure it is not the "wear spring" on the pads? That is normally what makes that noise. Just a warning that they will need to be changed. The spring seems to be placed closer and closer to the surface over the years, making people think that they need brakes more often.

How to change rear brake pads in 2008 dodge caravan?

Brake light comes on dash when brakeing then off with acceleration

hi 1st thing to check is the brake fluid level is topped up as the reservoir has a sensor fitted to cap so as brake pads/shoes wear the fluid is displaced from reservoir to compensate cylinders hence fluid level falls and puts light on as you brake ? also possibility is that your pads may be fitted with low brake pads warning indicators/wires which also puts same light on as you brake and goes off when you let off to accelerate ? check both of these possibilities if you req more help/advice by all means come back with info

How do I install rear brakes and rotors on a 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan

For Disc Brakes...simply use a 7mm allen wrench to remove the 2 bolts from the inside of the caliper and use a large C-clamp to put pressure on the hydrolic piston. The two pads slide right off for replacement. Reverse directions to install new ones.
