Question about 1994 Chrysler Concorde

1 Answer

'94 Chrysler Concorde wiper only works on high setting. No activity at all whether in the "delay" section of the switch and also on low setting. It is modulated by the wiper motor or is there a wiper control module somewhere that I have to replace. I haven't looked around for the module yet. I was going to replace the switch but I was thinking it may be the motor itself. All help is greatly appreciated. Cheers

Is that the switch on the actual steering column that controls the wiper speed?. What do I look for is it like checking for I/O or is it like checking a potentiometer?.

forget my last post... doing a litte research I guess it has a 7-wire plug. I'd have to take off the upper and lower steering colum shrouds and the tilt lever then I can see the switch?. I guess I should try cleaning the contacts then replace the switch; If this dosen't work what is my next step? .. thanks for all the help

Never ended up replacing the Multi-function switch as it was difficult to remove the switch from the scrap yard vehicle .. so in short while troubleshooting another issue.. I swapped relays around in the fuse compartment under the hood for (Hi/Lo wiper relays) with other relays and it started working like a charm.. no longer intermittent.

    Cheers

Why my windshield wiper only works on high and don't work on delay?

There is a wiper delay module under the dash that has failed. Windshield Wiper Switch MOTORCRAFT SW-5665

Sep 17, 2014 | Cars & Trucks

1 Answer

The windshield wipers don't work as they should. when on low speed or high speed they only do the delay feature and that doesn't work right either.

Then your switch where you turn on the wipers are messed up you should get them checked out. Hope this helps!?

Please rate solution - Thanks.

the delay switch on the wiper motor may have went bad, the only way to fix it is to replace the wiper motor. for (i have the same problem),your computer may be shot or you have a faulty wiring harness.

Try making sure the connection is good.
If it is then you should try replacing the wiper switch.
