Imean what gave you cause to look and end up finding it? I'm sorry. The point is, Have you noticed any accessories that don't, or aren't working? If you want, Go to the parts store and pick up an automatic circuit breakerthe same amps as the fuse. The breaker will trip and reset rapidly causing the bad circuit to flash like a flasher. What ampereage is the one that keeps blowing? Is the filament just melted in a small gap or is the filament mostly gone.? It makes a difference.. I'm just trying to give you a hand so you don't have to wait for someone with an owners manueal to happen by. The amps will say alot and pretty much tell what kind of circuit you should be suspecting.. The condition of the fuse will tell us if its a short or overload. There is also a possibility of a fuse box fuse location diagram. Ck the inside of the fuse cover.

Why when i turn on lights fuse #16 blows and i lose tail lights, turn & break lights work though.

You will probably get a better answer if you repost and give the make, model, and year of your vehicle. But the most likely cause is a shorted wire to metal contact somewhere in the circuit that fuse protects. Check the owner's manual, if you have it, to find out everything that is on fuse #16, but assuming it is just for the tail lights: usually the tail lights are a separate circuit, no other circuits involved. The turn and brake lights are on a separate circuit for sure, as a safety precaution. So, somewhere between that fuse and the tail light socket, or including the sockets too, and the headlight switch, for that matter, there is a short that is blowing the fuse. Ever heard a little sparking under the dash, or smelled burnt rubber when the fuse started blowing?. Any snagged wires hanging from underneath? There are some neat electrical gadgets that help find shorts or bad wires, Fuse Buddy, Short Finder, things like that, kind of pricey, most of them, but you might find a reasonable tool. Otherwise probably a lot of digging, pulling harnesses apart to find wires, checking for power all along, etc., if you have to just start following a wire. Better invest in a multi-meter or a test light, and a wiring diagram would help to keep track of any changes in the wire colors you are following. See if you can unplug the bulb sockets at the tails and then see if fuse still blows. Finding shorts can get so frustrating it will chase you into bars-beware.

50 amp fuse keep blowing when i put it in drive

The fuse keeps blowing because there is a dead short after it somewhere. Check the wiring for shorts up to what it gives power to disconnect it and see if the fuse still blows . If not then replace the item that it is connected to as it has an internal short.

Efi Fuse Keeps Blowing

It could be a short in the wiring, or a shorted injector possibly.
To check for a bad injector, pull off all injector connectors, put new fuse in, and turn key to on. Does fuse blow? If so, maybe a short in the wiring, possibly a problem in the ecu. If fuse is still good, put the injector connectors back on one at a time and watch the fuse. If one injector connector causes the fuse to blow, that could be a shorted injector. Good luck, don't know what else to check after that.

01 kia rio keeps blowing the injector fuse every time i put it in first and take off how do i fix it

You may have a shortted injector. Pull all the injector connections off, put a new fuse in. If it still blows the fuse, you must have a short in the injector drive circuit from the ignition switch to the injectors. I don't know what all is in the circuit, but you may have a resistor pack before the current reaches the injectors
If the fuse did not blow, then one at a time, reconnect the injectors. You are looking for a shorted injector that blows the fuse. If the first connection blew the fuse, disconnect that one, put in a new fuse, and start with a different injector connector. You may find one that blows the fuse, meaning it is shorted, and needs replacing.
Good luck.

I keep popping fuses and i need to know what numbers 18 and 20 fuses in the power distrubution box run, my owners manual does not match my fuse box. the number on the box is 5601905 and i have a 96 jeep...

hope you appreciate this i have spent ages looking in the haynes manual and the fuse boxesa are not shown but looking at the wiring diagrams it states that fuse 18 is the airbag module so this wouldnt stop car from starting now looking for fuse 20 ,it says here that it feeds the vehicle speed control system and another feed to fuse 15 and 16 which is ABS and the flasher ,well if this correct then the non starting wouldnt be caused by these fuses ,and as fuse 18 is supplying fuses 15 and 16 and they are not blowing this its the vehicle speed system thats blowing this fuse and fuse 18 could be something wrong with airbag module unless their is short or damaged wires in the loom somewhere where its chaffed through or rubbed against something
