DOn't repair it, it is a wate of money. It got exploded since it got clogged the the pressure built up attcking w weak point due to aging causing the problem. You can change it your self to save labor cost of $100. The radiator cost $199 at autohaus online. At store will cost more. You should be thankful for this incident. Otherwise if it didn't go this path, it will attack you head gasket then it will cost more to fix. Have you heard about a blown head gasket? This is what i'm talking about. Cheers.

no other vehicle makers radiators are an option for you
has to be a radiator from a 1997-2004Mitsubishi diamante.

if money is tight
you can source a used radiator from a car wrecking /junk yard
for less than half price of a new one
ring some local places close to you and ask
you might be lucky
some cars may have had a recent radiator replacement before being scrapped

if it is only holes
they can repaired for very little cost

another possible
the plastic ends are removed if not broken

I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Diamante. It seems that when I am driving at higher speeds the engine runs a little warm. I am not overhearting but want to address issue before a problem. What could be causing...

There are several things to check:
  • Low coolant level
  • Leaking radiator hose; a small leak under pressure would cause you to lose coolant
  • Leaking radiator line (located on the bottom of the radiator
  • Bad thermostat; A bad thermostat will not allow sufficient coolant to flow to keep the engine cool

How do i remove the fuel filter as to replace it? (1990 mitsubishi diamante)

Mitsubishi did not make the Diamante in 1990, it came out in 1992, and
on the first gen diamante it's located in front of the passanger side firewall closer to the middle close to the bottom

Need to see where thermostate is located have an idea but am not sure where it is the year is 1996 corsica 2.2liter v4

GM Corsica/Beretta 1988-1996 Repair Guide
The thermostat is located inside a housing on the back of the cylinder head. It is not necessary to remove the radiator hose from the thermostat housing when removing the thermostat.

CAUTION When draining the coolant, keep in mind that cats and dogs are attracted by ethylene glycol antifreeze, and are quite likely to drink any that is left in an uncovered container or in puddles on the ground. This will prove fatal in sufficient quantity. Always drain the coolant into a sealable container. Coolant should be reused unless it is contaminated or several years old.

How do i change out my thermostat?

Mitsubishi Outlander 2003-06

Removal & Installation
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable, then the positive battery cable.
CAUTION Wait at least 90 seconds after the negative battery cable is disconnected to prevent possible deployment of the air bag.
  2. Drain the engine coolant.
  3. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

  4. Remove the battery and battery tray.
  5. Matchmark the installed positions of the hose and hose clamp, then disconnect the lower radiator hose from the water inlet fitting.
  6. Detach the control hose electrical connection.
  7. Remove the control wiring harness connection bracket.
  8. Unfasten the retainer(s), then remove the water inlet fitting.
  9. Remove the thermostat.

To install:
  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure, noting the following:

Install the thermostat so the jiggle valve is facing straight up. Be careful not to fold or otherwise damage the rubber ring.

Fig. The thermostat-s jiggle valve must be facing up, at the 12 o-clock position during installation
Refer to the fastener tightening specifications shown on the accompanying illustration. During installation of the lower radiator hose connection, insert the hose as far as the projection of the water inlet fitting. Align the matchmarks on the hose and hose clamp, then connect the hose.

Fig. Insert each hose as far as the projection of the water inlet fitting. Make sure to align the matchmarks before connecting the hoses
Fill the engine with the proper type and amount of engine coolant.
  2. Connect the positive, then the negative battery cables, then start the engine and check for leaks.

Hopw helps with this (remember rated this).
