Jerking problem with 2000 saturn sl at a high rpm manual transmision

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. More then likely, this is a transmission issue. I would check the fluid level and make sure it was correct. Next, go ahead and change your fluid and your filter to the transmission. If this doesn't help, you need to have it looked at in a shop.

How do I find the transmision filler cap on my 2004 Saturn ion?

You add transmission fluid thru the dipstick tube. You'll need a small funnel for that. If level is below normal, add fluid a little at the time, DO NOT OVERFILL.

My transmision fluid is black and two transmision mechanics say if you change transmision fluid the car wont run no more is this true sombody please help me they are saying im going to need a new...

The mechanics lied to you. Changing the transmission fluid and screen will not cause any car not to run. Just as you need to periodically change the oil, the same holds true for transmission fluid. Though the fluid is black, yoou state that you have no slippage or nothing out of the ordinary. If that is the case, then you do not need a new transmission. Just have the fluid and screen replaced and all will be fine. Make sure to pick up a transmission pan gasket while you get the necessary fluid and screen. Again, changing the fluid will not cause any car to not run. It is safe to perform the fluid change.

I just got a 1998 cadillac catera and i been trying to figure it out where iwhs the transmision in this car cause i have to put some oil on it. but i can find it. i would like to know exactly where is it.

The transmission in your 1998 Cadillac Catera is a "sealed unit". Under normal use, it does not require service to the transmission filter/fliud.
If you insist on checking/changing the fluid, there is a fill plug at the side of the transmission that will help you determine the fill level of the transmission.
You warm the transmission to operating temp, and remove that plug with the engine running, then on top of the transmission on the driver's side of the vehicle, there is a red plastic cap you remove. Insert a funnel, and slowly add fluid, watching until it begins to dribble out of the check hole under the car. Reinsert the check plug, then cap the transmission again.
Recommended fluid type is Dexron-VI.

I cant find the transmision dipstick and my

well you cant find the dipstick for the simple reason there is no dipstick,,,you have a VTI or CVT transmission,,with operates like a snowmobile transmission,,anyhow it takes special transmission fluid,,very expensive,,,,Saturn had alot of problems with these transmissions,,,,what i would try is take your car to the dealer and have them change the trans fluid and do the latest TCM update for the trans,,this can do wonders for these trans,,,,,and if that dont work youre gonna need a new trans,,,,,which is alot like $5000-$7000 installed,,,,there was a factory exteneded warranty to 150k miles but when GM went thru bankruptcy they ditched it,,so you will now have to incure costs to fix it,,,thanks GM..,the trans fluid change and tcm update ,, TCM trans control module,,will cost about $350,,hope this helps

This is a 99 saturn with prox 80000 miles the transmision seams to be slipping in the lower gears 1st 2nd anyone have an idead how to solve the problem the obvious solutions are change the transmission...

If you can take it to a transmission shop that can re4build the transmission,. They should have a tech2 scanner, have them raise the transmission line pressure and may be replace the servo's after you replace the transmission fluid and filter. That should give you a better bite when the gears shift and give you a bite more life in the transmission if the clutch pack is not too worn out. Good luck and hope this helps.

How to fill de automatic oil of the transmision

Transmission fluid goes in through the dipstick tube. You'll need a funnel, possibly a long flexible one, to avoid making a mess.
