What kind of oil filter does a 1996 saturn sedan 1.9L need?

Go to walmart auto section. they have a book there which provides this info. If you can't read, go to a parts store and the salesman will look it up for you for a higher price. any oil change place will also have these in stock. All saturns 91-99 had the same L4 1.9L engine with the same filter.

I can't find the oil filter on my 1994 saturn sl1

While under the car on your back position yourself under the oil pan. The oil filter is located about a foot up and 6" to the right. It's above and behind the passenger side axle. It's parallel to the ground.

Where is the transmission filter located in a 2002 Saturn SL1 car?

It is actually on the outside of the transmission on top parallel to the ground. It is toward the front of the car and is a large oil filter looking spin on filter.

There is no pan on an S-series car, simply a dipstick, external filter, and drain plug. Pretty much like changing the oil on your engine, actually easier!

Oil change on Saturn L-Series, how to?

same as any car.. climb underneath.. you'll see a pan with a bolt either on the side or the corner, unskrew that and the oil drains, then you unscrew the oil filter( cylindrical) it will be either right behind the oil pan(thing thats draining oil or on the side of your block) dip your finger in oil and coat gasket around new oil filter, screw it in where the old filter was ****DONT FORGET TO PUT THE DRAINAGE PLUG(the bolt you unscrewed) BACK IN**** then add 5 quarts drive!!

Where's the oil filter on a 2002 l series saturn

4 cylinder is located in front of the engine compartment.

You will need a 15/16" socket to remove the cover and the filter (it is attached to the cover).

Now, standing at the front of the vue, with the hood open, look just to the left of the battery box and down. You should see the large socket cap. There is a notch in one of the intake hoses for you to get an extension on the socket. Unscrew that cap and remove the old filter. replace with the aftermarket filter CH9018(Fram) or equivilant.

Make sure to change oil also, unless you are running extended service synthetic and only changing the filter.

Finding oil filter

The oil filter is on the left hand backside of the engine (on the passenger side), just below the alternator and a little to the inside. It isn't an ideal place to get to since there isn't much clearance underneath the SC-1. I would suggest wheel stands or jacking the front of the car up and putting jackstands underneath if you are going to change the oil yourself, otherwise there is always JiffyLube.
